Renatinho, ex-soldier / Renatinho, ex-soldado

Click on the link below to read (in Portuguese) the story of Renatinho, a soldier in the Andaraí favela drug traffic until July, when the area was “pacified”. The bigshots left the area, but young men like Renatinho were left behind. He wants to go back to school now, find a job, and stay close to his mom, daughter and his pregnant girlfriend.  The filmed interview –not much to say– shows how ill-prepared Renatinho is for the world beyond Andaraí. A entrevista do vídeo — ele não diz muita coisa– demonstra que Renatinho está muito mal preparado para o mundo além de Andaraí. Fotos excelentes.
